Lean Architecture for Agile Software Development Masterclass
26+27 January / Breukelen

On January the 26th and 27th Zilverline organizes a two day Lean Architecture for Agile software development Masteclass together with Jim - Cope - Coplien.

If you always had the feeling there must be something between Big Design Up Front and the complete lack of architecture, then you are right. It is called Lean Architecture. In this hands-on masterclass James Coplien will show how a DCI (Data, Context and Interactions) based archticture supports iterative and agile development.

This masterclass is a must-attend for every software engineer and architect who wants to get a grip on lean architecture.

Who should attend

This masterclass is for experienced developers and architects and is language neutral. Several languages like Ruby, Java, C++ and Groovy will be limitedly used in examples to support the theory. The masterclass will be in English.

Contents

This masterclass will show you how to (re)connect - in a lightweight and agile manner - architecture, requirements and code. You will be taught and shown how to think as end-users and how this will enable you to constantly improve your code and architecture.

This training will focus on agile design techniques enabling you to:

  • develop software that directly appeals to real end-users (people and interactions over processes and tools)
  • develop applications that can be verified any time due to enabling specifications and behavioral requirements (working software over comprehensive documentation)
  • conduct effective requirements management in order for end-users to get what they actually need (customer collaboration over contract negotiation)
  • implement changing requirements even late in the process without sacrificing architectural cohesion (responding to change over following a plan)

Jeff Sutherland has not done, and will not do, any Scrum projects without a form of up-front architecture. Attend this masterclass and learn how a lean architecture will make you more agile!
